Add an Alert:
Click the three dots next to the indicator name on your chart.
Select "Add alert on Indicator Name" from the dropdown.
Configure and Create:
Set the trigger condition, alert name, and notification type (e.g., app, sms).
Click "Create" to activate your alert.
You can manage alerts using the alarm clock icon in TradingView to pause, edit, or delete them. This keeps you updated without constantly watching the charts.
What does the purple icon near my indicator mean?
The purple circular icon with a rotating arrow next to your indicator in TradingView indicates that an update is available for the indicator. This ensures you’re notified of new features or improvements.
How can I update my TradingView indicator?
You can update your TradingView indicator in two ways:
Using the Update Feature:
If an update is available, a purple 🔄 icon will appear next to the indicator's name on your chart.
Click the icon and select "Update to latest version" to apply the update directly.
Manual Update:
Remove the indicator: Click the 'X' next to the indicator's name.
Refresh TradingView: Reload your browser or restart the desktop app.
Re-add the updated indicator: Go to the Invite-only scripts section under the Indicators menu, then select the indicator again.
Save your chart layout to keep the changes.
